Corian Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Corian is a brand of solid surface material created by DuPont. Its primary use is as a countertop and benchtop surface, though it has many other applications. It is composed of acrylic polymer and alumina trihydrate, a material derived from bauxite ore.

Countertop Speciality wrote, "Corian countertops can be dented and scratched as it is a softer surface (but repairable). Does not handle heat well. Hot pans can burn Corian (often repairable). Some cleaners and chemicals may cause discoloration. Re-sale value is less than granite, marble, or quartz."
